Permanent hair removal
Hair removal by laser has proved to be highly effective and, in fact, more effective and longer lasting than conventional techniques. It is also faster and less painful than electrical hair removal, leading to greater comfort and better quality of life.
Epilatory lasers emit a light beam which is absorbed by the brown pigment (melanin) at the base of the hair and its root. This beam is transformed into heat and leads to the destruction of the hair bulb without affecting the surrounding skin.
The number of sessions required depends on hair colour, density and hair growth cycle. A preliminary consultation makes it possible to establish the necessary number of sessions and desired result.
White hair and light hair cannot be treated by this method (due to the low amount of melanin).
All parts of the body can be treated in both men and women.
Treatment lasts 10 to 30 minutes depending on the size of the area to be treated. Treatment is required every 4 to 10 weeks depending on the zone in question and 4 to 6 sessions are necessary for a permanent result.
A sensation of heat or stinging is felt each time the laser is applied. This sensation can be reduced by preliminary application of an anaesthetic cream.
Sun protection with a full sun protection factor is essential after treatment.
